This is a popular off airport car park that is 4 miles from the terminals and requires a bus transfer with a transfer time of 10 - 15 minutes. Customers are required to leave their keys. It has an almost 90% positive customer feedback rating.
It is from 25% - 40% cheaper than the pre-booked price for the on airport long stay car park, but requires a longer transfer to and from the airport. It is sometimes available at a 'special sale' price which is cheaper but not 'flexible' - meaning it cannot be cancelled or amended after it has been booked.
Address: 100 Mackadown Lane, Garretts Green, Birmingham. B33 0JD
Directions: Leave the M42 at Junction 6 and follow signs for A45 towards Birmingham and the airport. Pass through one set of traffic lights - the Holiday Inn hotel should be on your right. At the third set of traffic lights, get into the right hand lane and follow signs for Garretts Green and Off Site Airport Parking. Take the right hand turn (Sheaf Lane) and head for Garretts Green and Marston Green. Follow this road until you reach a roundabout; turn right and follow the sign for Off Site Parking (Airport) site A. After half a mile, turn left into Mackadown Lane. Airparks is on the left, just before the railway bridge.
Transfers to / from airport: Regular transfers operate 24 hours a day. Transfers take approximately 15 minutes depending on traffic conditions. You should normally allow 50 minutes to check in and transfer to the airport, however, during the morning and afternoon busy periods you need to allow more time.
Arrival Procedure: Park in one of the marked bays and report to reception with your printed confirmation or booking reference. Your car will be parked for you whilst you board the transfer bus to the terminal. You are required to leave your keys.
Departure Procedure: The Airparks bus operates from stop A outside the terminal. Unfortunately, because so many different buses use that stop, the Airparks bus can't pick up from the shelter itself - it picks up from the area marked 'waiting zone' instead. Once back to the car park, go into reception with your ticket and a member of staff will tell you where your car is parked. Then drive to the exit barrier and scan the tag on your key to get out.
