The debate on the Edinburgh Airport drop off fee continues, with Miss Edinburgh the latest to register an objection. Fiona Dickie has joined the protest against the introduction of a £1 charge for those who use the drop-off car park at the hub, Travel Weekly reports.
The airport announced last month that it would impose the £1 fee from October but stressed that people could still drop off passengers for free in an area near the Hilton airport hotel, with a free shuttle to the terminal.
Ms Dickie, who previously worked at a Thomas Cook travel agency, told the newspaper: ‘The travel industry has faced some of the toughest challenges this year with the recession, ash cloud, strikes and company failures. The last thing we need is another hurdle to overcome.'
