Varsity Express, which launched scheduled flights between Oxford and Edinburgh airports yesterday, has announced that it has awarded its Scottish handling contract to Greer Aviation, the business aviation facility adjacent to the terminal at Edinburgh Airport, in order that its passengers arriving or departing from Scotland can benefit from the similar experience and 'VIP-style treatment' it offers at Oxford Airport.
Being able to mirror the service levels at Oxford’s award-winning business aviation terminal means that Varsity becomes the very first airline to provide a shuttle service between two fixed base operations - usually reserved for private jet passengers - which it says 'greatly enhances the airport experience for the passenger.'
Passengers being dropped off at Edinburgh Airport go directly to the Greer facility and can relax with complimentary tea and coffee in its lounge. Fares between Edinburgh and Oxford are from £49 one way, including taxes and charges, with flexible fares from £139 one way.
