New Gatwick - Luxor flights for easyJet

easyJet will launch flights between Gatwick airport and Luxor in November. The service will operate twice a week, every Monday and Wednesday, with passengers taking the flights bound for the Valley of the Kings and Nile cruises.

Currently only charter airlines fly to Luxor from the UK. Thomson, Thomas Cook and Monarch each operate the route once a week from Gatwick, while charter airlines also fly from Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol.

The new five hour flights from easyJet cost from £128 return including taxes and charges. The budget airline already flies to the Egyptian resort of Sharm el-Sheikh from Gatwick, Luton and Manchester.
