Glasgow Airport pick music festival winner

Glasgow Airport has announced the winner of its month-long 'Airplay' music festival. Over the last 4 weeks, twenty bands and solo artists have performed live sets in the terminal, entertaining passengers as they set off on their summer holidays. Dundee based band Our Future Glory claimed a top prize of £1000. Scott MacDonald from Glasgow was runner up.

The music festival, the first of its kind in the UK, was organised to celebrate the city's status as a Unesco City of Music. A spokesman said: ‘It was a celebration of new music and a recognition of the young talent emerging in Scotland [even though one of the bands was from Belfast !].’
