BA Engineering has signed a contract to provide line maintenance for Thai Airways at Heathrow. BA’s engineering group will provide line maintenance for Thai at T3. Thai will provide a reciprocal service from November 12 for BA at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Thai Airways operates twice daily Boeing 747-400 flights from Bangkok to Heathrow, but plans to operate Airbus A340s, Boeing 777s and the Airbus A380s on the route (depending on demand). BA Engineering has the capability to provide technical support for all of these aircraft types. BA currently flies once a day between Heathrow and Bangkok.
