An woman appeared in court yesterday charged with attempting to smuggle £100,000 worth of drugs into the UK via Heathrow Airport on Sunday. Sarah Hughes, 32, of Samuelson Court, Banbury, was arrested by officers at the airport after they found a large quantity of cannabis and a small amount of heroin in her luggage.
Miss Hughes appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates Court charged with attempting to import controlled drugs. She was remanded in custody until September 7.
