The amount of baggage that does not arrive at Heathrow at the same time as its owner has continued to fall, thanks to improved systems.
In the 6 months to June 30, the baggage misconnect rate at Heathrow hfell from 20 per 1000 passengers last year to 17 per 1000 in 2010. This improvement was achieved in spite of the ‘effects of prolonged severe winter weather’, BA strikes and the ash cloud crisis.
