Luton Airport car park warns passengers to allow more time

Although the roadworks on the M1 are almost finished, the Airparks Luton Airport car park is advising passengers to allow extra time for their journies because of congestion around the airport terminal itself. An Airparks spokesman said increasing congestion is being reported at the airport, and it is advising passengers to make sure they arrive in ample time before their flight to avoid the risk of missing it.

The official recommendation is to arrive 3 hours before a long-haul flight, 2 hours before a European flight and 90 minutes before a domestic flight. Airparks advise passengers to allow 40 minutes to park at the car park and transfer to the airport - longer during the rush hour - in addition to this.
