A jet flying to Luton Airport was required to return to Romania 15 minutes into the journey after a security alert yesterday. The Wizz Air jet, with one hundred and sixty five passengers on board, touched down safely again at Timisiora in Romania.
Timisoara Airport is understood to have received an anonymous phone call shortly after the jet took off early in the morning. A Luton Airport spokeswoman said: 'The jet had to return to Timisoara. It's thought it was a hoax call. The plane should have landed at Luton at 07:20 but arrived in the early afternoon.'
