A Flybe plane had to make an emergency landing at Manchester Airport minutes after take-off on Monday morning. BE663 took off for Bournemouth with 40 passengers on board, but soon after the captain announced the plane had technical problems and would turn back.
The captain then said the fault had worsened and he was shutting down an engine. The plane landed safely shortly afterwards and the passengers disembarked normally. They were transferred to a Flybe flight to Southampton and then taken by bus to Bournemouth.
