Fire at Stansted Airport car park

Nineteen cars were damaged in a fire at the Stansted Airport long stay car park, the BBC reports. The airport could not be reached for comment.

Fire crews are reported to have been called to the very popular on airport car park at 02:30 today. Initially it was reported that just one car was on fire, but on arrival firefighters found several cars ablaze and were forced to call for extra crews.

Police and fire services have started an investigation into the fire, which will have affected vehicles belonging to holidaymakers using this on airport car park.
