Swiss aviation maintenance firm SR Technics is to cut between 200 - 300 jobs by the end of this year, including 90 at Stansted, as a result of the downturn in the aviation industry, Swiss news agency ATS said yesterday.
SR Technics, which employs 3000 people worldwide, is owned by Madala Development Company (70%) and Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (30%). The company, a former subsidiary of Swissair, plans to cut 90 of it 750-strong workforce at Stansted Airport, the agency said. In April the company shut down its operation in Dublin, with the loss of 1135 jobs.
